Thank you, Evanston, for your incredible support, resolve, and passion throughout this campaign.

 

While we didn’t secure the win, earning over 6,000 votes - nearly 40% of the total - we sent a powerful, resounding message:

Evanstonians expect city leadership that operates with integrity, prioritizes residents’ needs and interests, and leads with transparency and accountability. Residents expect leadership that understands and honors the true meaning of public service.

Let’s take a few days to reflect on this election. Then we must continue to work to put residents first in this city. I pledge to stay engaged, advocating for a city government that is open, accountable, and responsive to all Evanston residents. Please join in on the discussions that have already begun with exciting ideas for paths forward. Don’t hesitate to reach out.

On a personal note, this experience has moved me deeply. My commitment to this beautiful city and its residents has only grown stronger. Meeting so many compassionate, caring, and brilliant people from every corner of Evanston has been both inspiring and, frankly, life changing.
